I was born in Jamaica and while I have been fortunate enough to travel to 21 countries, Jamaica has a beauty that is unsurpassed. There are many ways to explore Jamaica's rich cultural mosaic. Take an authentic Jamaican country bus and travel up into the hills, through rural Jamaican villages to the birthplace of Bob Marley. Visit the Cockpit Country where the Maroons have lived independently for centuries. Visit the 'Outameni Experience' Heritage Village to explore the cultures of the ethnic groups that have shaped Jamaica and that reflect the national motto "Out of Many One People". Visit replicas of the traditional homes of the Tainos (Jamaica's original inhabitants), Africans, Spanish, English, East Indian, and Chinese (Hakka) people. See the remmants of an authentic Great House. At Seville, see the ruins of the first Spanish settlement in Jamaica, explore the museum and go horseback riding through plantation trails and on the beach. Visit Seaford Town, where Lord Seaford gave part of his estate to the over 1000 Germans who settled in Jamaica during the 1830s. You can still see remnants of German architecture. You can also view German artifacts in the Seaford Town Museum.
