We are a business consulting firm that offers facilitated business simulations that involve preparing a full gourmet meal. We don't specialize in strictly recreational cooking class for small teams. We do offer full organize and offer luxury cooking escapades for teams of all sizes and recreational cooking for groups of 75 or more.

We help organizations succeed even during turbulent times

Inspired by the popular TV show, this challenge will give your team a chance to flex their creative muscles and create something unique within a tight timeframe. You'll work with teams. We will divide your group into teams. Each team will uncover a black box with some specific ingredients. Over the next 1 - 1/2 hours, your challenge will be to come up with a menu and design the most appealing dishes with the ingredients provided. Don't worry, professional chefs will be on hand to provide you with coaching.

While you relax and enjoy a meal, there there will be a period of judging and, finally, a winner will be announced.

We are an executive consulting firm with expertise
in the design and facilitation of business simulations.

We are not a cooking school. We bundle our expert business facilitation with the skills of professional chefs to flawlessly execute business simulations that involve cooking. We provide the business facilitation and event planning services. The chefs provide the instruction and coaching about cooking.

Recreational Cooking = 75 Participant Minimum

We don't offer stand alone, low budget, strictly recreational cooking class for small teams (74 participants or less). If you don't require a business simulation or event planning services, we suggest that you contact a community college or cooking school directly for options that are likely to be in line with your budget.

Gourmet Culinary Team Building sells out fast.

At times we can book cooking team building simulations on short notice. We will do our best, however, these team building simulations are popular. We highly recommend that you:

• book cooking team building at least 6 weeks in advance (8 - 12 weeks in advance for Christmas season bookings)
• let us check availability of venues BEFORE you lock in your dates
• Provide a few options for dates.

Upgrades Available

We can upgrade these team building simulations by:

• transporting you and your team to the winery, resort or 5 star restaurant by helicopter, private plane or limousine
• upgrading the decor using chair covers, crystal, china, and fine linen

We are based in Toronto, Canada. We regularly travel to other parts of Canada to deliver team building sessions.

We require 1 night's accomodation prior to your retreat so that we can finalize all logistics with the venue and set-up for your arrival. If we are driving to destinations more than 2 hours from Toronto, we require transportation or an additional night of accommodation after your retreat is over so that we can avoid night and winter driving after a full day of facilitation.

Overview of Iron Chef Team Building Simulation

Phase 1: Pre-Event

A few weeks prior to your cooking team building simulation, learning style surveys and participant profiles will be distributed to identify business challenges and pinpoint team strengths and perceived areas for improvement .

Phase 2: Briefing

A professional business facilitator will do a presentation highlighting the links between cooking team building, business and team effectiveness

Phase 3: Iron Chef Cooking Challenge

Each team will uncover a tray or box with mystery ingredients. You'll do some brainstorming and receive coaching from a professional chef while you decide what to prepare. Over the next 1 - 1/2 hour, your challenge will be to prepare the best 3 dishes. with the ingredients provided. Competition and time pressure will be intense. An obeserver will take notes about team effectiveness while you work.

Relaxing and Dining

Phase 4: Judging & Prizes

The chefs, professional facilitator and obsevers will confer while you enjoy your creations or a catered meal

We'll provide each team with feedback about team dynamics and the quality of their creations. Then, we'll announce a winner and award prizes.

Phase 5: Debriefing

After lunch with the assistance of your facilitator, you and your team will spend time debriefing your experience and applying it to your business.

Optional Business Meeting

When your simulation is over, you have the option of staying at the cooking studio for a business meeting to tackle business agenda items of your choosing.

Interactive Cooking Demonstration and Gourmet Meal

This interactive cooking demonstration is ideal for a late afternoon or evening event. It is available as a relaxing activity for your team during one evening a team building retreat or as the perfect end to one of our team building race events.

First, our chefs will demonstrate how they prepared each dish and every course of your meal. As they demonstrate, members of your group will have an opportunity to volunteer to try it. You'll pick up dozens of tips to improve the quality of your own dishes.
