Before heading out to the oil field, your team will do some planning and strategizing about the best way to approach their challenge

The timing for reaching the platform, collecting the lost spare parts and assembling the oil rig could be 15:00 – until sunset (18:15). Dune bashing is included as the guests will have to reach the place where the platform is set up in the middle of the oil field. The participants are divided into groups and are sent out to find the necessary parts in a certain area around the platform. The items are covered by sand, so equipment like metal detectors or GPS systems and shovels is provided.

It’s a race against time, because all parts have to be fixed on the oil rig by sun-set, otherwise the oil pump cannot function. Only by working as a team, can all parts be found and brought to the platform on time to ensure the completion and activation of the oil rig and the pump. The hunt for the spare parts will takes about 1 hour. The completion of the oil rig will involve at least an additional 2 hours.

The highlight of the day will be when the gas is finally flared and the oil gushes.

Your facilitator will help you debrief and analyze your experience to key learnings that you can take back to work and use immediately to boost performance. In the process, you'll also gain exposure to the global marketplace, broaden your horizons and gain a more international perspective.

Our business team building simulations incorporate recreational activities but recreation is not our speciality. Overview

Your Challenge

Due to increased industrial production, the management of your company has decided to expand their business by transferring their conveyor systems to Germany. A schedule for drilling has been planned and a new oil rig at the "Beauty Oil" oilfield must be fully operational by sunset.

The dedicated labor force at your camp has already completed the platform for the new oil rig. Due to severe thunderstorms, they have fallen behind schedule in building the rig. The hatch of one your company’s airplanes flew open due to severe turbulence in the middle of one of the recent thunderstorms and the components and equipment to assemble the rig are scattered all over the oil field. Time is money, so your executive team decides to assist the workers with the set up of the oil rig. Your challenge is to:

• set up the rig by sunset
• start conveying the oil
• light the oil tower’s fire as a symbol for power, energy, team spirit, warmth and wealth.

What's Involved

During the day, you and your team will need to find and collect necessary tools, items and spare parts which were scattered around the oilfield. Using metal detectors or GPS systems and with the support of the laborers all parts and tools have to be collected. The oil rig can only function properly if all those items are located and completely assembled.

The Celebration

To celebrate the birth of the new oil rig and the successful team work all participants are invited to a party in the company’s labor camp. An impressive atmosphere in the camp is guaranteed by illuminations and numerous burning oil derricks as well as by a fascinating fire show.

Expect a party under the bright stars. The entertainment will be tailored to your the budget. We can offer international shows and bands as well as local dancers, bands & performers.

You can camp out overnight or return to your hotel when your celebration is finished. The next day, you will thoroughly debrief your experience and identify applications to your own business challenges.

"Beauty Oil" is a teambuilding simulation in which strategies, technical skills and team spirit play a major role. In addition to that, it is a lot of fun!
